Every June the Sea Island Community Association holds an event called Burkeville Daze, a family-oriented day filled with activities where members of the community get together. The Sea Island Heritage Society has been invited, year-after-year, to participate. A few of the SIHS Board members and volunteers set up a display table. They network, answer questions and mingle with the community. After a few cancellations due to Covid-19, on June 27, 2022, Burkeville Daze returned to Sea Island.
